SAMHSA: Behavioral Health Treatment Services Locator


The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is a government agency whose mission is to reduce the impact of substance use and mental illness on America's communities.

The agency provides a treatment services locator which serves as a confidential and anonymous source of information for individuals seeking treatment and support with any mental health and/or substance abuse issues.

NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness


The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a grassroots organization that provides "advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives." The website creates a large number of educational and support resources for individuals/families that are impacted by mental health conditions. 

NAMI also operates a HelpLine Monday through Friday, 10AM - 6PM ET. The NAMI HelpLine is a free, nationwide peer-support service providing information, resource referrals and support to people living with a mental health conditions, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers and the public.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline


The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential emotional support for people in distress and prevention/crisis resources for those experiencing a mental health crisis. These services are accessed by calling a toll-free hotline, which connects you to a local trained operator in a national network of local crisis centers.

Veterans Crisis Line


The Veteran's Crisis Line provides 24/7, free and confidential support for veterans whose crisis can be heightened by experiences during military service. These services can be accessed via calling a toll-free hotline. The Veteran's Crisis Line site also provides other resources, such as confidential veterans chatrooms and support group services.
